In this fast changing world it's sometimes hard to keep pace with all the technological changes. Only a sixteen yeart old geek needs to absorb every minute change in the market place, the rest of us have a life to lead
You may already be aware of many of the points highlighted below, if not, here are some basic tips to smooth the way to easier on-line shopping.
Bookmark or add to favourites your most popular sites - this wil save so much time, and makes for speedier reference and updates.
Check websites for a secure payment method. One of the fastest growing, secure payments is via Pay Pal. you can register for their full facilties or simply use you debit/credit cards via their teminal.
Double check the postal rates. Most on-line companies are very competetive, but the odd one can be rather naughty - if it's not clearly shown at checkout - e mail and ask.
For larger items, protect yourself and pay with a credit card - so much easier as you are covered under 'The Consumer Credit Act' for items and services over £100.00 - although it is stil worth reading any small print available.
Check the company has reasonable contact methods. Because of the sheer volume of calls, a lot of websites have taken to using e-mail rather than telephone, that's fine, bute nsure their address and e mail are claerly shown, and a contact form is always handy.
Lastly - If something looks too good to be true - it normally is.
